It’s called Blackbird, and I’m not sure how I feel about this.

i’d surf using Jewbird.

One more vote for jewbird.

Now this is really interesting in light of a Newsweek article I recently read that said that although blacks are professionally much more integrated into public life, they are not particularly integrated into private and social life, even less so than in the past. It would seem that a “black” browser which is defining items of interest to blacks persists in upholding and strengthening this separation, particularly as the web is such a powerful tool in personal life.

It’s funny to think that the creation of this and the Gloss referred to in the aritcle seems to be saying that mainstream browsers are both white and male (and gentile maybe?!?), which I find completly bizarrre.

It’s bad enough that as soon as my status on Facebook changed to married, I started getting baby ads on the side, which have now been thumbs-downed as “offensive” ;), without my browser telling me what to look at, too!
